Getting started

Welcome to AtlasRO: Midgard Chronicles. This page takes you from zero to your first steps in Midgard.

1. Create an account

Make your account on the website: Create account. Use a real email address: it is the only way to reset a forgotten password.

Accounts are made on the website only. The game's login screen can't create accounts.

2. Download and install

  1. Get the installer from the Download page. It is small (about 3 MB) because it fetches the game while it installs.
  2. Run AtlasRO_Setup.exe. Keep the suggested folder (C:\Games\AtlasRO). Don't install into Program Files: the launcher must be able to update the game.
  3. Setup downloads about 4.8 GB, checks every file and unpacks the game. On a slow connection this takes a while. Let it finish.

You need Windows 10 or 11. No admin rights are needed.

3. The launcher

Open AtlasRO from the desktop or Start menu. The launcher shows the news and server status, and downloads updates by itself. When it says the game is up to date, press Start.

Always start the game through the launcher. That way you never miss an update.

4. Your first login

  • Language: the first time you log in you choose English or Bahasa Indonesia. This changes NPC dialogue and announcements. You can switch later with @language. Item, monster and map names are always English.
  • Character: in Episode 1 you can't create Doram characters yet. The option is visible in the game, but the server refuses it.
  • Start: new characters begin on a ship, are guided to a small island and then arrive in Izlude.

5. First steps

  • Find the Atlas Guide in Prontera (coordinates 155, 185). It explains the server and lets you change your language.
  • Check your EXP rate with @exprate. You can lower it for a slower, classic pace and earn an exclusive reward: see Personal EXP rate.
  • Read the Server rules once. They are short.
